Books Without Borders :: How BWB came to be and what we are trying to achieve.

Mark and I have both wanted to join a bookclub for quite a while now. The difficulty of course is finding time. We think we may not be the only ones. We find time to read, but a regular slot to head over to an existing club isn't practical and things like shop based book clubs don't allow us the freedom we want to explore our reading tastes and share recommendations with freinds.

Mark finally came up with a solution for this. An online book club. As a result we started a forum. It will work like this:

Every month three books out of those recommended, suggested or requested by the users, will be selected. Members can read any of the three and come back to the forum as and when they finish, to give their comments and discuss.

We will add links to this page for things that may interest habitual readers and book blogs we think are worth a view and encourage users to add their own links and recommendations to the forum.

We hope to add a live chat room at some point for more in depth discussion in the mean time, grab a cup of soemthing hot, a good book and your favourite reading spot.
