I've read Lost Souls and Drawing Blood, thanks to Mandy, who could comment more.
She doesn't just write horror, but that's where i am with her at the moment, and she writes, pale skinny, androgenous, bisexual goth kids better than anyone ever! Her characters are delicious and her descriptions amazing, I am always surprised by how slim her books are given how rich everything is in them and how vivid. Maybe I fill in more than I realise and she has a knack for describing perfectly the bits you need to do the rest in your head, but I always feel the books ought to need more pages to do what they do. Anyway, if you are looking for something a bit different, with intense, delicate character, that you will want to read quickly because you need to know if they come through all right, but at the same time you want to slow down and savour the flavours and smells of the story, then this is your girl! Not many of them in book shops over here, but amazon stocks plenty and I expect they appear in second hand and charity shops thanks to people who are stupid enough to let them go. |

I make a point of never recomending this author. Don't get me wrong, I love her, but she is most certainly not to everyone's taste - these are no children's books.
If you have a dark, tisted place in your soul that you don't talk about with anyone, these books might float your boat. If not, stay away.
Toast : I have a couple more - including Exquisite Corpse (bought from Borders would you beleive) - if you want to borrow. |

thanks J, got Exquisite Corpse and Wormwood, yet to read them, half way through a couple of other things. Would agree ont he need to be seriously dark and twisted, but had to share this wonder of an author with other freaks. |

Just finished exquisite corpse, wow, excellent but beyond dark and twisted!
Lost Souls and Drawing Blood are pretty dark but more palatable generally, loved it tho. |
