Books Without Borders :: Richelle Mead

As far as I know the author of Succubus Blues is new on the scene.
I picked it up as a 3 for 2 figuring what the hell, even tho the synopsis printed on the back made it sound like the worst kind of drivel.
Imagine my delight and surprise when it was actually a well thought out and entertaining novel. The central character was wodnerfully likeable and suitably wry about her succubus who doesn't want to go round sucking the life from decent guys status and the her world meshed neatly and easily into the real world.
It's light and frothy for the most part, and it's plot twists failed to surprise, but it's a really enjoyable and not half bad offering. I am looking forward to more from this author and as she hones her skills expect, if not quite great, at least extremely entertaining things.
