woot!

well, I'm not much of a starter of posts as a commenter in posts...am quite enthused to be here however!

I'm hoping that, in the book choices, that there are "classics" or older books, as I'm doing the library thing (I rarely buy books) and rarely read best-sellers until years later.

For spiritual, I'd like to suggest "Tuesdays with Morrie". This is a book I got from the library and intend to buy sometime in the future - I liked it that much, I think I gained quite a bit from it. I will be rereading it before I take it back to the library...

Wally Lamb makes me cry...good tears, you know? I have "She's Come Undone" and will not part with it.

I've not read the Jane Austen Book Club, but I've read all her books...is this a novel all to itself or...?

it's a book about a book club where they read loads of jane austin and focus on her. It's meant to be quite good although mum thought some of the attempts to tie the characters lives into austin style plot threads were a bit clumsy.

Hello!! Fantastic to be here. I haven't had much time to read lately - and haven't had the mental capacity to get anything else in my little brain. I've been using it too much trying to get things straight for moving.

I'm hoping to get in some fantastic reading while on vacation in two weeks and then while in Italy.

Very Happy Very Happy

Hi everyone... I have a few suggestions

The Life of Pi (author escapes me at the moment)

Riding the Bus with my Sister by Rachel Simon ( i just started reading this yesterday)

Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Meyers (not sure of the spelling of that name)

And either She's Come Undone, or I know this much is True by Wally Lamb
both excellent books.

Edited to add: Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert ( i think thats her name)
